 about us

Thank you for visiting The Zucco Fine Art Gallery. The creation of this online gallery originated from a desire to share a unique collection of art work from three generations of painters from one family. This exceptional collection presents images from as early as the 1920’s till present day.

Weston “Morley” Geety (1902 – 1967) was my great uncle. You will see from this collection a precise American style reflective of a deep love and understanding of the Atlantic coastline. Seascapes from the Connecticut and Hampton NY regions, landscapes and an occasional New York City urban scene will delight your imagination with his use of pastels, oils and etchings.

Catherine “Kitty” Zucco (?-present), my mother, is a contemporary American painter who has enjoyed and explored painting since her early teens. As a mother, wife, and a dedicated Connecticut business woman, painting has provided a gentle balance in a busy life freeing her to explore an inner creative vision. Kitty’s understanding of color and love of nature makes her classic painting style of seascapes, water and boating scenes, landscapes, and sky paintings a delight to behold.

Jennifer Ann Zucco (1950 – 2006), Kitty Zucco’s daughter, was an accomplished painter in her own right. Carl David, the owner of The David David Gallery in Philadelphia, PA and exclusive agent of Jennifer’s work, simply stated Jennifer was “a brilliant Connecticut Impressionist painter, whose works transcend time and take us back to the turn of the 20th century when there was a mood of gentle and carefree spirit. With the subtle inspiration of Sargent, Chase, Cassatt and Beaux, her paintings expertly reflect the quietude and elegance of the era. Her landscapes, seascapes, architectural renditions, still life works and figurative paintings as well, are all equally wonderful portraits of her vision.”

The images you view in this collection are available for your enjoyment.

Sincerely,

Janet Zucco Karabin – Zucco Fine Art Gallery owner
