Taking Care of Your Museum Quality Giclee (revised 3/3/2009)
Due to the unique size of your Giclee (a printed reproduction on archival paper of a drypoint, etching, gouache, pastel, pencil, watercolor or woodcut image) your artwork is being mounted on archival mat board. The Zucco Fine Art Gallery uses mats and backer boards which possess archival properties because these products offer the necessary protection to effectively shield your art against pollutants and acid by-products that fade, discolor and damage artwork.
As with anything of fine quality and rich color, to preserve your print, it is also suggested artwork be kept out of direct sunlight or very bright light. The use of UV blocking glass is recommended to help to protect your work of art from the sun’s harmful rays and fading.
Your artwork will be shipped to you in an archival mat and unframed. |
